If you’ve been reading the blog for a little while you have surely noticed that my dear husband is quite the baker, bread and cakes (oh! the cakes!). Here is a new recipe he came up with for a different kind of brownies. They are sooo yummy. Gooey, but not too much, just the right yummy amount.
Ingredients:
115 grams softened butter
100 grams milk cooking chocolate
170 grams caster sugar
100 grams plain flour
2 large eggs
2 tea spoons vanilla extract
1 tea spoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Grease cake tin and line with grease proof paper. Melt the chocolate.
In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla extract and melted chocolate. Add flour and baking powder (sieve if you want), mix well.
Pour into cake tin and bake for 35-40 minutes. Prod with skewer to check it’s baked all the way through. Leave to cool and dust with icing sugar if you feel like it. Cut into squares and enjoy! With a cup of tea, Tony would probably say! ;-)
