Buttons on my fingers

Button rings

A little while ago I bought these buttons from Jesse. I used one button for a cardigan, but didn’t really know what to do with the rest. Apart from look at them because they are so darn pretty!

But then I had this idea yesterday, and who knows where it came from, to make a ring with one of the buttons. So I did. In fact I made two!

It’s just a fun thing. A bit of colour on a November day. And real easy too! You can make it in less than half an hour!

Make a crochet chain that will fit around your finger, make it kinda tight because the yarn will stretch with use. Connect the two ends into a ring, then sc (UK peeps: dc) once in each chain st and bind off. You could make the ‘band’ wider with extra rounds of sc (dc).

Stitch your button onto the band, and there you go, Bob’s your uncle, and you’ve got yourself some haberdashery BLING! ;-)
