Something brand new in my shop: 2012 fabric calendars! I’m sooo excited about these! Plural, yes, because there are 2 different colours and 2 versions of each colour!
They are perfect as a gift for the stitchers in your life. And it’s ok if that stitcher is you! ;-)
Would also be a great beginner project because you don’t have to worry about transferring a pattern or anything like that. Just grab your needle and a couple of colours of thread and off you go. And you don’t need to know a lot of stitches either. Your basic backstitch will do!

And a red one which is all outlines – so a bit more delicate than the full-on filled-in red one! As you can see, you can cover the lines with 2-3 strands of floss to add even more colours to your calendar. And you can add beads or buttons or ribbon or whatever you fancy to truly make it your own.
Of course I had to make a green version, it’s my favourite colour after all. :-) The green version(s) have two fresh greens which I absolutely love. Make me happy every time I look at ’em.
All outline green version. Looks slightly yellow, but trust me, it’s the most perfect spring green!
PS. I’ve heard rumours that the first two calendars come with embroidery thread, so you can get started straight away! First two already spoken for, thanks!
