A few months ago I may have said that our house was off limits to a certain neighbour cat who was very curious about our house. Well, I’m going to have to eat those words because a couple (or maybe three?) weeks ago we let the cat into the house! And not just for a quick pat on the head. Oh no. It has somehow charmed its way into us letting it sleep all day on the bed in the second bedroom!
We don’t know where it actually lives and why it can’t be there during the day. Obviously, we have no food for it or a litter box, so it has to leave sometimes. When it’s time to go, it comes down stairs and that’s the signal for us to open the back door to let it out. Apart from that, it just stays in the bedroom upstairs.
We wonder if maybe the previous occupants used to let it in – there was a litter box and a couple of cat food bowls in the garden when we moved in. Or it may even have lived here and people moved without taking it with them. But obviously it has a home, because it looks healthy and happy.
I’m no cat person – Tony’ sister has had cats all the time I’ve known him/them but I’ve never felt compelled to pet them. But this cat totally owns us now. ;-) As you will have noticed if you follow me on Instagram. Every other photo is of this cat. Yes, I have become one of those people. ;-)
