One awesome thing that inspired me this week – November 14

Welcome to a comet

This inspired me more than anything in a very long time. So many things could have gone wrong, but they didn’t. Now there is a tiny bit of human kind hurtling through space 500 million kilometres away.

It is mind boggling that this was even possible. But it is. Because of Science and Imagination.

I am too young to have seen the Moon landing, but to me this is on a par with that. And may tell us even more about the Solar System, Life and Other Fantastic Stuff.

To be a live at a time when we, human kind, can do this – and at a time when anyone with an internet connection can follow the landing practically in real time – that is pretty awesome.

When I was little, I wanted to be an astronomer and that little girl was jumping around with me on Wednesday and fist pumping the air when ESA announced that: WE ARE ON THE COMET!

Just imagine what we can do next!

Yay Science! Yay Imagination!
