Want to take a class with me in person?

Fog
Hi! Happy Friday!

The sun has struggled to break through the fog that has been lingering since this morning. Isn’t that a dramatic fog-scape from this morning’s walk with Blake?

So.. excitement! I am planning an embroidery class! For me that is very exciting. And a tiny bit nerve wracking. I’m an introvert after all. ;-)

But, it would be so much fun to hang out for a few hours, teach some stitches and share some of the stitchy tips that I’ve accumulated over the past decade, so I’m going to overcome my natural instinct to stay in my own little world. ;-)

I have been wondering for a while how to go about teaching a class. I thought “well, I’ll have to do it in a craft/embroidery shop that already offers classes. Surely that’s how it works.” But I really don’t think it has to be that way. Why not do it myself?

So right now I’m looking for a suitable space in London* to teach a class for 7-10 people. Keeping it small so I can give as much attention to each participant as possible. I’ll show you how to get started with embroidery and then we’ll crack on with a sampler where you can practice some fun stitches. Great for beginners but if you need to refresh your stitchy skills it’s suitable for you too.

If you’d be interested in a class in May/June, please pop over and let me know which date/s would suit you best. Please only fill it in if you’d actually be interested and able to participate. I can’t just book a space and not have anyone sign up.

I hope to be able to open for class registration some time next week if my search for a space bears fruit.

xo Carina

*Central-ish London, within easy walking distance of a Tube station atleast! :-)
