Stitchy Itch

Stuff in the studio
I have the stitchy, crafty itch! The past month, I’ve not done any embroidery. At all! Not because I didn’t want to! But I’ve had some hand/wrist issues, so I took a break from embroidery, which is pretty repetitive, to avoid it becoming full on carpal tunnel. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Of course, it’s not been a complete rest, because I’ve been busy with painting and sanding to get my studio back. But some rest is better than no rest, right? And my hand/wrist is feeling better.

But I really, really miss stitching! I have ideas and projects I want to make, but I know it’s for my own good to take a break. I’ve taken a break from working on the computer too, which has also delayed a project I’m itching to work on, a collection of embroidery patterns and more. The almost-complete computer break also means I can’t share pictures of the new-old studio. Editing photos = repetitive.

It’s kinda boring not being able to do the stuff I normally do. Not that I mind being bored, usually that’s where ideas come from. When you’re not distracted by shiny stuff on your mobile, of course. Yeah, I’m looking at you, Instagram!

Sewing a skirt
And I want to stitch stuff! Atleast now the studio is back, I have my sewing machine set up, so I’ve started sewing a skirt for myself. My mum helped me sort out the pattern when I visited my parents in April, so it’s nice to finally get the skirt done. :-)

Hopefully I’ll be back to embroidering and computering again soon. :-)
