Tony bought a graffiti aubergine the other day. I don’t think I’d ever seen one before! So of course I had to sketch it! I put it on a plate with a few other vegetables, because I thought the aubergine might be a bit boring on its own.
I’m not super happy with the sketch, the sweet potato looks more like a giant carrot and the ‘graffiti’ effect of the aubergine isn’t that great either. But nevermind! Time spent sketching is never wasted, even if you’re not 100% loving the sketch. And I know that in time it will just be another sketch in the sketchbook, it won’t be the ‘look at that weird sweet potato’ sketch! :-D
Oh and speaking of things you’ve never seen before. Yesterday we watched the Goonies and you know what, I don’t think I’ve ever watched the whole thing before. Tony was aghast! :-D
