Happy Ostara!

It is the Spring Equinox! I love this time of the year. The days are now noticeably longer, and a bit warmer. When I wake up in the morning there is already daylight sneaking around the curtains, wonderful.

So here are the embroidery patterns for Ostara in the Wheel of The Year stitchalong. The daffodil pattern was actually released last year. When I was originally going to do this stitchalong but that didn’t happen…

The primroses (only available through the stitchalong) were so lovely to stitch. Satin stitch is in my top five of favourite stitches. :-)

I am really happy with how these two look together. It is a coincidence that they are both yellow. I had actually planned on stitching a different small pattern but the primroses kept calling to me…

If you would like to join the Wheel stitchalong for 2026 you can do so here. There is no pressure to finish anything by a specific time. Stitch the patterns at your leisure! :-)

Overhead photo of two wood embroidery hoops. A large one takes up most of the space, it has pink fabric with an embroidered design of snowdrops flowers. The smaller hoop is coming into the photo from the top right corner. This hoop has pale blue fabric with an embroidery of a dark pink hellebore flower.

The patterns for Imbolc (the previous festival in the Wheel). I just noticed that I have used the same fabrics as in the Ostara patterns. :-D
