These Summer Solstice patterns for the Wheel of The Year stitchalong were quite a bit delayed because I had to limit my hand stitching. It is always frustrating when that happens. But the patterns are finished now and I am very happy with them.
You can join the Wheel of The Year stitchalong here if you want these and the rest of the patterns. The dog rose pattern is also available on its own.

The dog roses especially makes me happy. The pink and green colours together are just so cheerful. I also really like the contrast between the outlined and filled in flowers. I am very grateful to past Carina who had that idea because it saved me some stitching that I didn’t have to fill in two of the flowers. :-)

I was a bit worried that the poppy would be a bit too simple, too boring. But I like the simplicity. As much I love the poppies that almost look like peonies, the simple poppy is my favourite.

A little close up of the dog roses. I love the pink colours and the ombre effect. It doesn’t show properly in the photos but there are actually three different colour combinations of the dog roses. I thought it would make it a bit more lively? Organic? Rather than just using one combination for all the flowers.
