These pages are nowhere near each other in my sketchbook.. But I think they go together well… I really like putting random (or not so random) images together on pages in my sketchbooks. Usually it’s a colour scheme that brings them together. No surprise there, eh? ;-)
Often, when I start a new sketchbook, I open it up on random pages and make collage type stuff like this. Or splash watercolour on a few pages. That way, as I work through the book, there will be little surprises waiting to be discovered, because I will have forgotten what and where I glued stuff..
Also, this way the book isn’t so pristine and New, so it’s easier to get messy with it. That’s what a sketchbook is for in my opinion. Messy experiments. What do you think?
