I’m stitching, stitching, stitching… It’s taken over my life! And the coffee table and my desk and the sofa, sometimes even the floor. But not the dining table. Yet. ;-)
I won’t lie, writing a book, and making the projects for it, it’s a lot of work. But I still can’t quite believe that I get to do this. I feel very lucky.
I’d like to say that I have time to stop and take proper snapshots with the Big Girl camera of the things I’m working on.. you know, to capture this journey, this process.. But I don’t. Instead I take pictures with my phone. Some of them stay on the phone, and some end up on Instagram (I’m polkaandbloom there, btw).
It’s fun to look back at those snapshots, usually only sneaky details since I can’t really give anything away about what’s going in the book! :-)
I don’t always post photos on Instagram the instant I take the photo.. sometimes I do a few at a time later on. Taking the photo isn’t that much of an interruption, but having to post it on Instagram and think of a pithy caption can be a distraction. ;-)
Are you on Instagram? Do you post as soon as you’ve taken a picture? Do you post every picture you take? And what camera app do you use to take your pictures? I don’t like the native camera on my HTC Desire. Even using it with the Instagram filters I don’t think it makes for very good pictures..
Instead I use a camera app called Pudding Camera, it’s really nice I think! It looks nice, it’s easy to use and it has several different camera types and filters built in.
The filters are so nice that usually I don’t even bother with the filters in Instagram. ;-)
