A little while ago, I gave all my vintage fabrics a nice bath in some enzyme wash to try and get rid of the bacteria that causes it to smell. After it was all dry – drying outside! In the sunshine! Yes, after it was all dry and ironed, I was struck by how lovely the pile looked together. The fabrics are from different times and different places, and yet they somehow all go together. So pretty.

One piece, a pillow case, has been carefully patched in two places. It looks like this person had the same bedding in two colours. I love how they made the effort to patch the fabric.
And I’m pretty sure that we had the same bedding when I was growing up, only in different colours. Maybe a nice 70s yellow/orange/green combination. :-)
