Spoonflower swatches (part 1)

Ok, finally getting round to showing you the rest of those Spoonflower swatches. Well here they are! Some of them, anyway; splitting them into two. Just because…

Some of the prints look a bit faded – but really they aren’t. It is just the light on the day I  took the pictures. Also, these are not the actual prints, as these were swatches. On some of them I had to adjust the colours a bit.

I knew from others’ experiences with Spoonflower that there are some issues with not being able to get a true red, and this seems to be true. They do blue, green, yellow and orange pretty well.

These swatches are all 8″.

This one is called Festive Diamonds, I guess it is pretty self-explanatory..? I like it a lot!

This is Stripy Hexagon. Sort of a different take on an Argyle pattern. Although I keep thinking of it as Hexagon Flower, so mayb eI should just change the name…

My ‘cheater’ print. Wonky Happy Cheater. It’s fun and a bit crazy and just the way I like it. It has some of the other designs in it, but twisted a bit, and a couple that aren’t available on their own.

More hexagons. Multi Colour Hexagon. This just looks like candy to me. I don’t know why. Maybe the colours?

Happy Trellis Spectrum. Here’s an example of a print that didn’t turn out so well ‘in person’. There is way too many ‘magenta’ rows. But some of them are supposed to be light pink or red. This is an other issue with Spoonflower, their printer doesn’t seem to be that good at distinguishing adjacent colours that are very similar. But again, this mainly seems to affect the pinks/reds. So I had to change the colours around a bit. But as it turns out, I actually prefer the ‘new look’ of it. :-)
