Forgotten quilt blocks

The lovely things you find when tidying… the other day I was sorting my fabric stash and I found all these quilt ‘blocks’ I made a few years ago. I had kinda forgotten that I made them/still had them and I was especially surprised to see how many there are. 10 or more of varying sizes! And most of them are hand sewn!

I’m going to sew them together – maybe using some blocks made using the techniques I learnt at the Fat Quarterly Retreat. And soon too; I have a hankering for making a quilt. Sewing fabric together and then having a nice cosy quilt to snuggle under. It is a bit fresh in our house compared to our previous home!

Have you begun a project and then forgotten about it? Not that I ever had a real plan for these blocks, it was just something nice to mindlessly stitch in front of the telly…

The Stitched Blooms blog tour is still goin’ on and you can see all the details over here. And you should definitely pop over to Aimee Ray where you can win a copy of the book PLUS one of the projects I made for the book. And my stitchy bestie, Nicole, is also giving away a copy of the book plus several skeins of floss in some of my favourite colours. Mmm.. floss!!
