Spider Web Rose embroidery
I really enjoy teaching beginner embroidery at The Village Haberdashery, so I am very happy that we’ve put together an advanced class! The first advanced class is on June 30th and we have another scheduled for August 4th. We will be using the embroidery in the picture as the pattern. I can’t wait! Even more excuses to nerd out about embroidery! :-)

Do writers need a nationality?

The Bohemian Garden Quilt Pattern. So pretty. Reminds me a of the paper cuttings by Matisse. Indeed, a few days after that post, Suzy blogged about the inspiration for the quilt: Henri Matisse Paper Cut-Outs: Bohemian Garden Inspiration.

Still life process: Spring Bouquet. I love seeing the process of art.

Great creative work does NOT have to be from the HEART all the time.

My go-to sketchbook is the Square Euro Wire Bound from Seawhite, but I have ordered a Seawhite Watercolour Travel Journal to try. Tony and I are going on a trip later this year, and it would be nice to have a sketchbook that is a bit smaller and which will handle watercolours nicely. I can’t wait to try it! {No affiliation with Seawhite or Artesaver.}

Tips for Painting Efficiently.

Writing advice for artists and visual thinkers.

I’m not really into games, but on a whim I downloaded the Color Puzzle game app. You might like it too. But, oh boy, it’s addictive! Don’t say I didn’t warn you. ;-)
