Recently my favorite thing was cacti, and I was doing a lot of satin stitching. Right now I'm being drawn to things with running stitches, more fine lines so the embroidery looks like a pen drawing. I've also been doing some Christmas stitching too.
I love stitching things that are from nature — birds, tress, flowers — I often stitch while I'm in meeting and on conference calls — so it's a simple way to feel like I'm doing something other than sitting at my computer in a long meeting. I also love color — so when colors are bright– that makes me smile.
